Joel Meyer, Past UHIMSS President
Joel is the Director of Product Management for AtTask, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for product strategy and execution for the industry leading project and portfolio management software solution. Over the last 15 years, Joel has led product marketing and development operations for large and small companies. Before AtTask, Joel was the Vice President and General Manager of Interactive Care, where he was responsible for product strategy and execution, as well as internal operations of the company. Prior to that, Joel was VP of Product Marketing for RemedyMD, where he was responsible for strategic product direction and product management of their Electronic Health Record (EHR) and patient portal products. The EHR was designed to flexibly adapt to meet the unique needs of multiple medical specialties. Prior to joining RemedyMD, Joel was Director of Product Management for digiChart, where he led the design and development of their web-based, OB-GYN-specific EHR. The digiChart OB-GYN product has won the Microsoft Healthcare Users Group’s Innovation Award -- three times!. Joel has been an active member of the HIMSS Electronic Health Records Vendors’ Association and the HIMSS Personal Health Record Roundtable. Joel received B.E. degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
