Deborah Sax, University of Utah ITS
Deborah Sax is a Registered Nurse and Informaticist by training and artist at heart. She earned her BSN and Master’s in Nursing at the University of Utah. Her primary career objective has been to expand her knowledge of clinical systems. While she is nurturing her technical abilities, her true interest and career intention is to use a blend of Informatics and Clinical skills to affect and improve healthcare processes. Professionally she is a believer in the importance of measurement and performance improvement. Deborah enjoys influencing the direction of how care is delivered, especially the part about designing software to fit best practices. Currently, Deborah works as a Sr. Systems Analyst at University Health Care working with Cerner. She considers herself fortunate to have found a remarkable career with plenty of opportunity for growth and development. Her goal is to grow as a leader, seeking opportunities to work on improving healthcare processes.
